Frequently asked questions
Can’t find your answer? We’re happy to help.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. Scan the QR with your phone camera and it opens in the browser. The sender needs only the card in the box; the recipient needs only the code the sender gives them.
If the cup sits on my office desk, can others scan it and read the letter?
No. The QR is only an address. The letter asks for the code each time, and an open letter locks itself again after a few idle minutes.
How do we choose and share the code?
When sending, choose a word only you two know, a birthday, or a number we make. Then tell them in person or write it on the card in the box.
Can we use a birthday as the code?
Yes. People around them may know it, though — for more privacy, choose something only you two know. To have the letter open on the birthday, set “opens on”.
Can the letter open on their birthday?
Yes. Set “opens on” while writing; until 00:00 that day (Korea time) even the recipient can’t read it.
They forgot the code.
Ask the sender — they can always see the code on their page, and change it if they like.
Can I continue or edit on another device?
Yes. Scan the QR, tap “Are you the sender?” and enter the code from the card in the box. So keep the card.
Will I know when they’ve opened it?
Yes. Scan the QR code to open your page — it shows when they first opened the letter.
Can I edit the letter after sending?
Yes. The sender can edit any time and the recipient sees changes right away.
What can I upload?
Up to 10 photos (JPG, PNG, WebP) and one voice recording. Location and other metadata are removed from photos when saved.
Does it work for products bought on marketplaces?
Yes. Wherever you bought it, the QR on the product and the card in the box are all you need.
